Ideas to take to school

• show these ideas to your teacher
• find out more about uranium, nuclear power and alternative energy;
• get your school involved in the Solar Car Challenge
• look at the Kids For Kakadu website www.jabiluka.net/kids/

• make a mural of the plants and animals of Kakadu
• send messages of support to send to the Mirrar people: c/- Gundjehmi Aboriginal Corporation, PO Box 235, Jabiru, NT 0886

• make a kite with Kakadu Croc logo on it
• make a banner of Kakadu to put up at your local library, shopping centre, school, beach etc. You can organise this with your local Council. ( P.S. don’t forget to get permission!)

• put on a play about Kakadu and how the animals, plants and culture are being threatened by Jabiluka Mine
• do a fundraiser at school for the Jabiluka Action Fund (ring 03 9416 1166 for details)
• join ACF Earth kids, Australian Conservation Foundation, 340 Gore St, Fitzroy 3065
• buy a Kakadu Croc t-shirt to support the Jabiluka campaign;
• buy a Jabiluka video for your school - call 03 9926 6704 for details
• get your class to write to the Prime Minister about this issue.
